This morning both The Washington Post and the City Paper had pieces about how the Post gave more extensive coverage to Greg's murder than they did the murder of another man who was killed that same night.

Greg was white. The other man was black.

It is a valid point and one that I might have made myself if I had any ability to step outside of myself and have a critical thought about any of this. I also know that I have been desparate for MORE news about Greg's murder (they have not yet arrested anyone), and so it is hard to think that there has been too much. Reading the articles, particularly the City Paper piece (which comes across as a smarmy undergrad media studies essay), just hurt. Unjustifiably, but it still hurt.
