del.icio.us tags: blogs

eMarketer released a collection of research earlier last month about blogger demographics:

  • According to BIGResearch, the average age of bloggers is 37.6.
  • However, according to Deloitte, younger bloggers are more likely to maintain their blogs — or read others — on a weekly basis.
  • The majority of bloggers are white, but the numbers are in line with the U.S. Census Bureau's demographic breakdown of the United States.
Piers Fawkes at PSFK generously shares a list of "boomer blogs" his team pulled together for a client. (Thanks, Piers.) I had heard of Time Goes By via the ladies at BlogHer. I'd be interested to know what qualified a blog to be added to the list (so, I asked.)

Wanted to get in contact with you about social networking. I have been following your blog and others trying to gain knowledge and advice on a unique group I would like to start that is of social relevance to myself and others of my demographic (african-american female, teenagers, young adults) and looking for insight from wherever. I know this is random but have no other way to pick your brain so to speak. If you like my email it is koaks315@yahoo.com
