del.icio.us: search

Stop searching for the answer. Search is the way to go.

According to Jupiter Research,
57 percent of internet users think that search is becoming more important: 72 percent of people between the ages of 18 and 24 and 55 percent of people ages 25 and up.

And if you're a marketer, you wouldn't disagree with them about the importance of search: 39 percent of people who are compelled to head to a search engine by an off line channel (67 percent of internet users) say those searches result in a purchase.

Magazine or newspaper ads and word of mouth were the two off line channels that most refequently led to a purchase.
