my people

I'm going to be in New York next Friday for the Personal Democracy Forum conference. (Here's the agenda.) I'm flying up the night before and staying until Sunday so I can see my friend Scott off at a party Saturday night. He's going to spend the summer in China and then head west to attend the Monterey Institute.

I'm looking forward to the trip and, specifically, to Friday. I am about as far away from politics as I have been in the past eight years and it's feeling a little strange. It will be good to be among my people.

I'll be live blogging (please, let the wireless work) and wiping the drool from my chin all day, so I hope you'll drop by to check in on what's unfolding.
