I'm going on vacation.

Next week, I'm heading out to Columbia MO to attend the True/False Film Festival. I said I was going last year and I didn't because I let work get in the way. But not this time, folks. The plane ticket has been purchased. The hotel has been booked. The rental car has been reserved. And, yes, this time I actually paid for a pass. I'm going on vacation. I'm going to watch movies, see bands, eat yummy food, play with friends and -- yes, I might even blog about it

I'm going because I like documentary films. I'm going because I like Columbia MO. I'm going because I LOVE David Wilson and the festival is the product of his passion (and Paul Sturtz's, of course). Makes me proud to call David a friend.

That's David over there on the right. We met when he was 19 and I was 24. He still looks 19. I don't look 24.

One week from today, Alison experiences a five day weekend.
