something to see

I had the chance to take a trip to Cambodia this past September. I was there to do a youth leadership training for an organization in the U.S. that aims to promote democracy worldwide (no, not the Bush Administration). Anyway, it's impossible to be in the country and not see or hear about at least some of the lingering impact that the Khmer Rouge has had. I came across an article today on the Guardian's web site that is a first person account by Aki Ra of his experience as a child soldier for the Khmer Rouge and his work today to dismantle the landmines that still dot the countryside and continue to put people's lives at risk.
