Add single-use chopsticks to your list of things that are contributing to destroying the planet. According to this post from PSFK, 25 million trees and bamboo plants are destroyed every year to make the chopsticks that come with your take out or at most Asian restaurants. I've decided, after reading this, to ask that they not include chopsticks with my take out and to use a fork when I am in a restaurant. On a larger scale, there's a group in China that will make you a chopstick holder to make it easier for you to bring your own (all via PSFK).
