Okay, no one congratulated me on the anniversary of my blog. (Geez.) How about congratulating me on the first day of my new job?
Yep, today's the beginning of a new chapter and, while I'm not a big believer in astrology, I'm optimistic that my horoscope wasn't what it was the last time around.
I have some more meaty stuff to share later (tonight?), but in the meantime, check out a couple of shots that I took yesterday during my last day of vacation visit to the National Zoo.
I love how the lions at the front gate look like they are basking in the sun.

I would have congratulated you on the blog anniversary as well, but got distracted by the shiny new penny on the road that is Jake! from Sixteen Candles! and then had to find out whatever happened to him anyway instead of leaving a comment here...
