good news and bad news -- good news
The good news is that I bought a new camera cord tonight and it worked. The bad news is that the wireless I am stealing from Chris' neighbors is not as reliable as it was last night.
(Have they caught wind of my thievery?)
The former means that I was able to download the photos I have taken on the trip to my computer. The latter means that Flickr is pooping out on me. I'm walking around the apartment -- laptop in hand like a tray of drinks -- desparate for just some of that juice.
(Come on baby, give me some juice.)
Here we go . . . photos (so far) from the trip . . .
Saturday morning -- I must get through Alabama (and Georgia and Mississippi and into Louisiana).
It's a good thing I have trusty Angus on my side . . .
. . . and a (sorta) tasty cup of Joe from my beloved, The Hampton Inn.

I am here (in New Orleans) to visit Chris, who is occasionally perplexed . . .
. . . and always works too hard . . .
. . . much too hard (like most of the men I love) . . .
. . . occasionally to the point of frustration.
I worked too hard too. But not right now. Right now I sit in coffee shops all day . . .
. . . and buy coffee mugs to commemorate my visit.
And shoes. I always buy shoes.

Some nice suede-y looking goodness going on with the shoes there. Great to get a few peeks into the journey!
