everything in its right place


Everyone's abuzz about Radiohead playing live on Current TV on New Year's Eve (although "live" might mean that the band members will not be dead, as the show will be pre-recorded).

I think the more exciting -- or, at least, interesting -- news is that Radiohead recently partnered with Best Foot Forward to do a study about the environmental impact of the band's recent tours. As a result of the research, the band is going to make an effort to do the majority of their shows in city centers (to increase the likelihood that fans will travel via mass transit) and will be shipping their equipment by sea -- instead of air. And they're asking their fans to pitch in either by using mass transit or by carpooling to shows.
