hillary has the giggles

I saw Hillary Clinton laugh not once, not even twice, but three times today. The first time was on Face the Nation this morning, the second was on this evening's repeat of This Week and the third was this clip from Fox News,

which I found when I went to YouTube to see if I could find a clip of her interview on either of those shows.

I LOVE the laugh, despite the fact that its appearance three (at least) times today is clearly a sign that someone has advised her to throw in a giggle here and there. It makes her appear confident and able to dismiss the nonsense that gets thrown her way.

I am growing more and more comfortable with the idea of President Hillary Clinton. I can't help but think of the pride that I am going to feel when I do my part to help elect the first woman president.

I never thought it would happen in my lifetime
but, more and more, it feels like it's within reach.

Update: According to this morning's Post (9/24), the Republicans weren't quite as amused by what Hillary had to say and, well, the Post doesn't think she said anything at all.

Another update: Lots of folks are talking about Hillary's laughter, including Jon Stewart, who didn't love it quite as much as I did.

I believe Hillary Clinton is very dangerous for our country. Not only does she side step direct questions, her plans for 'hillary care' will cost us millions. Every time I see her on television I get sick to my stomach. I truly believe she does not care about the very people she is professing to stand up for. American's cannot afford her or her politics. She will never get my vote.

The current lack of health insurance for more than 40 million people in this country is costing us millions today.

And the war in Iraq, which has no discernible benefit for our country, has been costing us BILLIONS for the past five years.

You might want to get that stomach ailment checked out.

After last Sunday's Hillary Interviews I am ready also, but what did you think of the SNL "the almost certainly to be next President" skit and her guffaw at the debate (I didn't see the hole thing maybe she did it more than once)? Makes the Sunday Giggles look like girly stuff, cute but somehow not the real Hillary.

I didn't think of the giggles as cute. I really did think of them as an expression of confidence, as I did the comment about speaking to Bill later regarding their differing views on torture.

And you might have noticed, he's backtracking on his position . . .
