picturing influence

David Armano -- over at Logic+Emotion -- is making a valiant effort to communicate the way that bloggers -- including those lower on the Technorati totem pole -- influence others. I like this latest effort (the ripples)

versus this food pyramid-like thing

because it more effectively acknowledges the influence of blogs with less links.

Interesting comment from Ed Lee about the fact that, despite the popularity of blogs like BoingBoing, he's more likely to read about what is posted on those sites through other, less popular, blogs.
