cockroaches

There's an article in the Post this morning about Cheney's surgery this weekend. The last paragraph leaves you thinking that, yes, cockroaches will still be around after a nuclear apocalypse, but so will Dick.

In addition to this weekend's surgey, which repaired aneurysms on the backs of both of his knees,

"Cheney, 64, has a history of heart problems. He has had four heart attacks, quadruple bypass surgery, two artery-clearing angioplasties and an operation to implant a pacemaker in his chest."

While Cheney was at home recovering from surgery with a Big Mac and fries, Karen Hughes took her first trip this weekend as the new Undersecretary of State for Public Diplomacy. The sarcasm about the likelihood that her efforts would effective gushes, rather than drips, from the Post's article documenting the trip. And, yes, Egypt is the "most populous" country in the region, in case you were wondering.
