There has to be something good that will come from this. I mean, I don't want to get too excited, but at the very least he didn't argue AGAINST gay rights . . . right?
He, by the way, is John Roberts. The Los Angeles Times is reporting that he contributed to a landmark 1996 Supreme Court case that protects people from discrimination based on their sexual orientation. (It's a little weird that the Times doesn't think to actually include the name of the case in the article.)
Good things about this: John Roberts may not be a rabid conservative freak bastard, someone in the White House didn't know this already and is pissed/freaking out that they might lose their job.
Of course, just when you saw this as a chance to take a breath, the party pooper liberals at American Prospect come along and poop on your parade.
