a little slow

It has been out for months, but I just got Loretta Lynn's Van Lear Rose CD this week and I'm now obsessed with it. It's the CD that Jack White from The White Stripes produced and it's absolutely brilliant. Her voice, the lyrics, the music itself. Go buy it. Go steal it. Go download it. Go and move into the store and sit and listen to it on the headphones that they provide to you at the listening station. (Run. Don't walk.)

It's difficult to say which tracks I like most cause, honestly, there isn't a sh*tty one among them. But "Have Mercy", "Little Red Shoes" and "Portland Oregon" (the single and video in which the 70 year old Lynn appears to have a somethin' somethin' going on with 29 year old White) might be my favorites if forced to pick.
